A Sunnydale Directory

Important Note: I started this for my own use (back in 2005) out of curiosity and for several stories. Since then, a number of Wiki resources have popped up containing much of the same material- some more accurate than others.

This is does not borrow any information from those places and is strictly TV show canon based (by watching the actual episodes.). Nothing that originated in any of the comics or novelizations appears here - to the best of my knowledge.

In 144 episodes, we see a bit of Sunnydale and the surrounding area. Here's my list of those places. It's the first version... so it's a bit crude. Eventually, it'll contain a list of which episodes a location first and last showed up in. The order is a bit random at this point with just a few major categories.

A lot of locations earned a spot on the list because they were mentioned by one of the characters, even if they were never shown. A few places also had name changes over the years. When known that is indicated here.

A lot of UC Sunnydale locations are listed here but most of them never appeared on screen. It was a lot more complex an environment than the old high school but was never fully utilized in the series.

Many of these places don't have street addresses. We only know where they are, if at all, in relation to somewhere else in Sunnydale. Often we're lucky to just know the name of something.

Very few of the 12 cemeteries are directly named. It is possible that some of the ones listed are duplicates. Some appear only once. Others in a multitude of episodes. I'm slowly putting together a list based on tombstones and other common features that I'll eventually add here. Churches are in a similar situation though fewer are seen even though there were more of them.

Caveat: This is for my own use while writing a couple Sunnydale based fics. Accuracy may vary depending on my memory and when I last saw an episode. Or the accuracy of the transcripts I saw the info in. A number of locations appear on screen but never get mentioned in the transcripts and scripts.

And there are many more I haven't added yet. I expect there to be over 300 when this list is eventually completed. Suggestions/Corrections are welcome. Just be aware I'm still working on this. (It looks like it's going to be a very long project to get info from all of the episodes.)
