[Buffy tells Giles that she's been accepted at a school in Colorado]

"You don't seem surprised." Buffy said, looking at him from across his desk. "Why not?"

Giles reached into his desk and pulled out a slim, ancient volume. Opening it to a page he'd obviously marked earlier, he handed it to Buffy.

"And this is?" She asked looking at the strange markings on the page.

"A prophecy." He told her.

"Of course." She sighed. "What does it say?"

"It refers to the slayer, and something called a chapa'ai."

"And where is this chappy thing ?"

"There were rumours in the early 30's. Someone found something unusual in Egypt. The Council believes they found it."

"Where is it now?" She asked.

"The US government has it somewhere. We think."

"Somewhere in Colorado?"

Giles handed her an envelope. Opening it she read the enclosed letter. "You already have a job lined up in Denver?"

[And the Mayor said Boo!]

• Very tentative idea. Before the annual apocalypse we need to deal with the future. And kick start the crossover vibes.
