Perci - Background

Character Background:

Supposedly, J.K. Rowling has mentioned that Hermione Granger has a younger sister. We don't really know anything else about her. Not even her name. Keeping that in mind... I'm making the following up... but this is fan fiction so that is okay :-).

This is a story about Perci (Persephone), the much younger sister of Hermione Granger. Her sister, Hermione, 'graduated' from Hogwarts the year before she started. Assume she's just finishing her 4th year at Hogwarts when Sunnydale becomes a mystical sinkhole thanks to the efforts of the Scooby gang. This is what happens to her as a result.

Story Facts:

• Perci is 15 in 2003 ( in order for her to start Hogwarts after Hermione's 7th year she should be approximately 7-8 years younger than her sister

• Rough dates for story purposes - Born in early 1988 - Starts Hogwarts 11 years later = Fall 1999, Sunnydale destroyed - 2003 Spring -- making her a 4th year.

• Let's make her a Ravenclaw to avoid the Gryffindor cliche. Also, it makes her smart enough to get into Oxford after Hogwarts (meaning she'll have to spend her summers catching up on muggle school subjects). Where she'll meet the youngest Scooby. (University College, Oxford seems like the best bet.)

• She's not a Hermione clone. More of a tom-boy. She didn't want to go to Hogwarts. It wasn't her idea.

• (What do I think she looks like? If you need to know -- George (Played by Ellen Muth) in Dead Like Me, perpetually cute pout/scowl, and all. But slightly younger when the story starts.

• If (I'm not saying this is even remotely part of the plot right now) some wayward monks created her and everyone's memories of her in order to hide a sentient mystical weapon from Voldemorte (aka Doing a Dawn) that Harry could have used to defeat him... they seriously screwed that up because in this post HP Book 7 AU Voldemort was defeated in some other manner only known to J.K. Rowling.

• There won't be much Hogwarts in this story, except possibly as flashbacks. This is more of a post-Hogwarts story so I can throw this OC in with the Scoobies running a post-Chosen Council and see what happens.

• This story belongs in my Red Raider Universe
• I don't know how long this will be. It occurs after "Red Raider - Quest" and "The Other Girl"
• The title is subject to change... as soon as I have a good plot.
