Ginny works for the same Ministry Department her father worked for (Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office) though she went through 3 years of Auror training before ending up there.
Hermione works in the Ministry of Magic for the Committee of Muggle Magic Usage part of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures - not quite as secretive as the 'Unmentionables' but they deal with muggle groups that deal with magic that prefer secrecy (Wiccans, Druids, the CoW, etc) so she can't talk about her job.
Ron is an Auror of some sort for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement
Percy Weasley still works at the Ministry in the Department for International Cooperation. It is unknown if Penelope Clearwater is still his girlfriend at the time of this fic though most likely not

This is based on canon for both fictional universes. For a timeline in outline format see the Red Raider background page.

Buffy was born near the end of January (20/21st), 1981. (She was 22 at the end of Season 7 in 2003) - She's 24 when this story takes place.
Ginny was born some time that same year in August.
(Yes, Buffy and Ginny are approximately the same age. )
- Ginny's 'real' name is Ginevra (First girl in Weasley clan in several generations) and she has two Weasley uncles (source - J.K. Rowling)
- Completed Hogwarts in the spring of 1999
- (She would have finished Auror training in the spring of 2002.
- This fic takes place in the Fall, 2005 so Ginny has been at the Ministry for 3 years when this fic takes place.
