• Main Character - O.C. -> The Third Slayer

  Personal history - What do we know about her so far

  • The CoW doesn't know she exists because -
    • They never learned Buffy died
    • She's a 'lost potential'
    • Her mixed nature/ancestry disguises her from their detection spells
  • She ran away from home
  • Something is drawing her west towards Sunnydale (though she doesn't know that) (Just read an AU B/F fic that has Faith doing the same thing... oops)
  • At some point she'll run into Amanda
  • She isn't a pre-immortal (sorry)
  • She doesn't have 'magic' (but she might be sensitive to it...)
  • Lived with her paternal grandmother for 5 years after her parents died.
  • Grew up in a small town in the deep woods (Eastern US/Canada?)
  • ?? 1 quarter (25%) Part elf or some other mythical wood spirit (her mother was half whatever - her father human) - She doesn't know this at the beginning.
  • No living family when the story starts (grandmother just died)
  • Not athletic, bookish, afraid of thunder, shy, private.
  • Someone sends her on a quest to discover her destiny.(We know it's her maternal grandmother, she has no clue.)

  This may change due to story requirements. And I'm not sure how important so much detail is.
  • Name: Fann (She's named after one of the Tuatha De Danann Queens)
  • Height: 5' 7"
  • Weight: ?
  • Build: Very slim (reedy, willowy, small breasts, hips, etc.)
  • Hair: raven/black/obsidian (very dark) - waist length when not in a braid/or otherwise hidden. Very fine texture
  • Eyes: dark blue - turn almost black when she is upset
  • Hands: skinny, long fingers
  • Feet: 'delicate' - long toes, long legs
  • Ears: small, delicate
  • Eyebrows: thin?
  • Eyelashes: Long
  • Voice: Deep/Low, warm laugh, goes high pitched when angry

• Other Characters - (1) Amanda Darieux

  Basic facts

  • She's immortal
  • she's a cat burglar
  • She'll take the main character under her wing
  • She might know about the Council/Slayers.

    Haven't decided if this story will end up in my 'Red Raider' AU series. Amanda has made three appearances in that series so far -

    1. She meets Faith in the fic 'Immortal Encounter' set some time between the RR fics - 'Working Vacation' and 'Girl in a Bar' and mentions encountering a Watcher/Slayer (for the first time) at some unknown time in the past. Faith lets the new Council know about immortals but apparently (based on later appearances of Amanda in RR) doesn't mention her by name.
    2. She meets Buffy during 'Girl in a Bar' and seems to already know who she and Willow are.
    3. In Part I of 'The Other Girl' she stops in Cleveland on her way somewhere else and has someone with her (who might have had a sword). She doesn't actually appear directly in the fic. Buffy recognizes the name from their earlier meeting/info Giles has.

    So there's plenty of room to squeeze this story in there if I don't contradict the above.

Timeframe

The story occurs during the 2 year period between Buffy Summer's 2nd death and the destruction of Sunnydale.
