Bond's age is problematic here. If I want a workable story, I can't go with his canonical age from Ian Fleming's novels. That would make him in his late 70's if this fic is set post Chosen like I plan. If he is Immortal (not in my fic!) then he couldn't be more than a distant pseudo-relative - great uncle or something like that. I don't think the movies gave his age. He can't be too young if he's her father. He could be Joyce's younger brother but I prefer father. Much more potential. So that is what'll happen. The chapter where how this is possible is explained is still in the planning stages. Hmmm... time travel? Accidental exposure to something that stopped him aging? Hmmm...

This is not part of any other AU/Crossover story universe I'm currently writing. Pairings, if any, are undecided. Could be Buffy/Faith, or Buffy/Other but definitely not Buffy/vampire, Buffy/Xander, or Buffy/Giles. And NOT Buffy/Bond or Dawn/Faith. (Buffy/Willow? No... Willow still has Kennedy in this fic)

And what does this mean for poor Dawn? Is Bond her father also? What will happen if/when they meet?

The goal is for this to be a classic Bond story. Big Villain, violence, car chases, Bond Girls (Though not necessarily in the traditional fashion), the works.

I started writing this because I wanted to read a "Bond is Buffy's Father" fic and the only ones I could find didn't do it for me. There is a Xander's father is James Bond crossover series and one with Oz instead (Both on TtH) But neither of them is Buffy.

The Bond canon - The movies and Ian Fleming novels I used to get a feel for Bond - character and history.
