1. Elysian Fields Guest House - Kingston, ON

   Note: In this story it exists in at least two different universes/dimensions. (In canon it has a multi-dimensional elevator). BtVS version is dingy version like the one Claire first saw.

   descriptions from Book I - "Summon the Keeper"

   Location:

   3rd house up from the corner of King Street and Lower Union when headed towards the University.

   Outside:

   surrounded by a cast iron fence, narrow driveway, large parking area next to house. It is 9 steps from street level down to the level of the house. Steps up to entrance. There is no roof over the main entrance. There is no knocker or bell. The back entrance is level with the parking lot.

   Inside:

   On ground floor
   

   Scuffed hardword floor in the entrance. A long counter divides the entryway into a lobby and small office. There is a brass bell on the counter. Narrow opening/counter flap between counter and wall to get into the office from the lobby.

   The office has two narrow windows.

   The manager's suite is behind the office, behind a hidden door A sitting room with a bedroom on one side and a bathroom on the other. One window in bedroom.

   The dining room is down the hallway at the end of the house on the 1st floor. 50's design (not retro - just never remodeled.)

   Small open kitchen, separated from the dining room by a counter. Stainless steel appliances.

   Basement
   

   There is an apartment, laundry area, and furnace room (9 steps down to bedrock floor) in the basement.

   Shabby, threadbare carpet on steps.

   On 2nd floor
   

   Rm #1 - on the second floor (to the right)

   • Dark blue curtains and carpet
   • light blue bedspread/upholstery
   • off-white walls
   • Bathroom w/tub-shower, toilet, sink
   • dark furniture

   Rm #4 - on the second floor (to the left)

   • no windows

   On 3rd floor
   Rm #2,3,5 - on 3rd floor - 2 doubles and a single. Rm #6 - - Single - unused. 30-40's look.

   • Storage cupboard across hall from Rm #6
   • Laundry chute in closet.
   • Metal stairs, circular, to attic, behind a door next to the laundry chute.

   Attic
   

   • large room, dormer windows at either end. Borrowed space (bigger on inside than outside)

   Elevator between basement and third floor. Old fashioned. Closet sized. In hallway.
