The Tara Maclay Affair - Plot

I'm not sure how closely I'll follow the movie plot. I don't want to copy it exactly just use it for an outline of sorts. Using the BtVS character names until I think of other ones.

It goes like this, more or less:

  1. Someone steals something from a museum
  2. The Museum's insurance company brings in an investigator (Willow?)
  3. The police detectives are Buffy Summers and Xander Harris
  4. One of the suspects is the rich/successful Tara Maclay
  5. There's some B/W subtext
  6. Willow's interest in Tara is more than just professional
  7. Willow is jealous of Tara's relationship with Dawn (without really knowing what it is) (Not sure if Dawn will still be Buffy's sister)
  8. Lots of conflict as the police try to trap the thief
  9. Happy ending for W/T (at least we hope so) (Or maybe some other couple?)
